It is advisable to trim your hair and not not shave it before you head out. Experts suggest that your hair should be at least a quarter inch long. The wax can’t pick up really short hair and this could lead to waxing multiple times. We don’t want that do we? So trim your hair or get it trimmed by the salon expert before she gets to do the main thing.

3. Exposure Can’t Be Avoided

Don’t be nervous, your salon specialist is a professional.  She would have been doing the job for several times a day for a while. Let go of your inhibitions when you opt for a bikini wax. You will have to be exposed down your waist, and also required to spread and stretch your legs in different directions.

Your area might be red, sore and sensitive after the wax. We advise you to avoid heavy exercises for at least 24 hours especially if it’s your first time. Also, always keep your period in mind. It is recommended to wax at least 3 days prior to your date due to sensitivity reasons. Waxing during your period is a definite no-no due to hygiene issues.

5. Get Comfy

Opt for airy and breezy clothes as it is going to get super sensitive and avoid tight clothes as it tends to irritate the skin. Yes girls, it is going to hurt. Create a distraction to your mind  by listening to music and take the focus away from the pain.
