Spoyl was built on core values of inclusivity and community-led fashion, so we’re actively exploring ways to make our clothing represent the diversity of our influencers and consumers. Our collaborations with our influencers are deliberate and meaningful where co-create fashion that’s progressive, thoughtful and beautiful. With Spoyl x Every Woman, we bring you the stories behind the lovely women associated with us, what drives them and how it filters down to their personal style.
Shweta Pal, a fashion blogger by profession, loves her fashion with a dash of pizzazz. Combining classic silhouettes with a generous dose of comfort, she believes that a dash of personal style adds to the personality of the clothes you wear. Shweta started fashion blogging to combine two of her loves – fashion and writing. She was going through a bout of depression, and at the darkest phase in her life, she decided to channel all her positivity into her blog and that’s the Shweta Pal we know today.
We called her over to Studio Spoyl when the new styles of That Boho Girl x Spoyl were dropped. While she picked her favourite pieces to twirl around for our impromptu shoot, she talked about why confidence is everything when it comes to style.
#1 The Event Perfect #OOTD
“Everyone needs to have a personal style… You cannot just follow trends” she said, a blazer catching her eye as she scouted for styling elements to go with the collection pieces. “My go-to style tip is: I use a formal piece to glam up an outfit as it instantly feels classy.” She’s seen here wearing a formal blazer over her boho-fusion maxi.
#2 A Brunch Date With Silver
“What’s your favourite closet item?”, I ask as Shweta’s expert eye skims over our rack of clothes at the studio from Kritika Khurana’s collection. “I love feminine elements of outfits like ruffles and pleats. Maxis and blazers are my favourites. Though- with fashion being more inclusive today, like the That Boho Girl x Spoyl collection, I’ve begun experimenting with new styles like never before.”, as she easily paired a tunic with statement palazzo pants.
She added some oxidized jewellery to the look and completed it to perfection. Note to self: Clash bold jewellery with easy silhouettes to dress them up!
#3 Boss Meets Babe
Talking about what fashion means to her, Shweta says “The key to looking good is supreme confidence, and confidence just doesn’t come overnight. Fashion has been moving towards making everybody feel loved – and I think Spoyl and Kritika did a good job there.” Picking up a shoulder-embroidered top, she exclaims “Oh! That’s perfect for my next meeting. So comfortable.”
Tight knot bun and getting work done! Pairing a shoulder-embroidered top with blue printed trousers, Shweta kept it fuss-free by just adding a pair of earrings.
#4 Date Night Ft. Flirty Vibe
“I love being comfortable in what I wear, so I’m always looking out for maxis, trousers, and other comfort-fit silhouettes. It’s important in this ever-growing field of fashion blogging, to infuse one’s personal element of fun into dressing up. Let’s add a flirty twist to this top shall we?”, she says, disappearing into the changing room.
For a date night with Mr. Right, Ms. Pal added an element of flirty fun. She picked an off-shoulder top to go with the trousers and made a fun pair of co-ords out of them. Adding matching heels and throwing her hair onto one side, Shweta looked perfect to step out for her date.
“I love how inclusivity has finally been given the importance it deserves through interesting collaborations like this one. Because of such thoughtful projects, today I’ve stepped out of my comfort zone and picked up outfits that I never thought I’d look good in..
I’m experimenting more than ever before, and I love this change. Looking forward to more!”, she says, as we wrap up our shoot for the day..
Those were some pages from fashion blogger Shweta Pal’s lookbook. Stay tuned as we bring you more fashion from real women, because fashion is for every woman, and beauty in all forms deserves to be celebrated.
