3 Ethnic Makeup Looks To Try This Festive Season

Festive season is in full bloom and it’s time to give your everyday makeup an ethnic upgrade. What do we mean by an ethnic upgrade? Well, in one word – metallic! Makeup experts around the world say that the easiest way to turn everyday makeup into a glam look is to add a tinge of metallic effect to it and you’re all set!

The trick with metallics, however, is to use them wisely to create looks that go from simple to OTT with just the right strokes! We’ve curated for you 3 such glam makeup looks for lookin’ like a pataka this festive season 😉 Take a look:

#1 Easy Does It

If you’re a girl who likes it simple, then a minimalistic glam look is just the right one for you. Start off with your regular base of brown eye-shadow and layer it with metallic liner. Now that you’ve coloured the lids, define your eyes.

Go for a little dark brown eyeshadow on both lower and upper lash-line instead of the regular black eyeliner. Define your brows with your trusted eyebrow pencil. Apply a pink shade of lipstick. Finish off with a little bit of highlighter on your cheekbones and inner corners of the eyes!

#2 All Out Glow

Love trying something new? How about some OTT glow this Diwali? Perfect! This look is definitely for you. Start by applying a base to your eyelids. Once that is secured, apply maroon eyeshadow on the outer corner of your lids. Bring it down to the lower lash line as well. Next up, add a golden eye-tint to the inner corner of your eyes. It brings them out. Add some brown eyeliner and blend well. Apply golden shadow to your eyelid creases. This completes your eyes.

Next, move on to the cheeks. Contour your face along the hollow of your cheeks. You can add some bronzer. Next, add some blush, blend well. Add a generous dab of highlighter as the finishing touch. With so much happening on your cheeks and eyes, stick to a subtle pink or nude shade of lipstick. If you feel like extra, use a glossy lip balm too.

#3 Balance It Right

Some of us belong to the category where we want to go a couple of steps ahead of our regular makeup routine, but still, steer clear of the all-out glam look. We get you, Hon! We’ve just the right look for you, too.

For this look, glamorous eyes are the key highlight. Once you’ve got the base ready and applied an eye-shadow of your choice, add a bit of a coral touch. Then, cover the whole of the top lid with some shimmer metallic pink. Define your eyebrows with an eyebrow pencil/powder. And this time, opt for a nice red lipstick – tune the shade to perfection in accordance with the type of mood you’re in. Finish off with some highlighter on your cheekbones, brow bones and inner corners of your eyes.
