MAY 2016

Whoever said ‘do not judge a book by its cover’, probably didn’t think of fashion magazines! The first thing that leads us to pull the hottest magazines off their racks are in fact their covers! Here’s a sneak peak into what this months magazine covers look like before you get your hands on them.

1.VOGUE MAY 2016 voguemay

Anushka’s ensemble is visually stunning this May on the Vogue Magazine cover. The detailing on her outfit is truly remarkable. Styled by Anaita Shroff Adajania, the sleek combo outfit of a black crop top and high waist corset bottoms gives a very burlesque lingerie feel to it. The netted overlay what with the detailing on it is a real masterpiece. The floral appliques and lace trim screams fashion! It reminds me of a cheeky holiday boudoir collection. The messy braid with wisps of hair pulled out at the side completes the bohemian inspired look. The quote ‘daring, darling, and unscripted’ can easily be translated by her cover shot.

2. COSMOPOLITAN MAY 2016ujjwala-raut-Cosmopolitan+India+-+May+2016-13+(2)

The perfectly tanned skin, slim silhouette and mysterious smile has all of us glued to Indian Supermodel Ujjwala Raut on this May’s cover of Cosmopolitan magazine. Photographer Anushka Menon captured this tribal inspired look with great precision. The crotchet swimsuit with with eye-catching colors got itself on the top of our summer priority list. The mixed arm candy complements the look nicely, while the earrings could have been switched up for something more practical. What makes this shot a truly goddess like image is the luscious hair and bold red lip that leaves us wanting more. Check out more tribal inspired looks on Ujjwala Raut here.

Saving the best for last, I’ve been dying to say that the shade Radhika Apte is sporting may be pale, but her look is seriously hot! This androgynous look that she has put on makes me wonder why she hasn’t tried it before! The bow and oxford shoes say it’s a polished look while the pink blazer white shorts combination gives it that little feminine hint that it needs. The dark lips and nail lacquer surprisingly match the whole outfit. But Radhika’s face alone (don’t miss out on the eyebrows !) and her perfectly sculpted legs alone would do the job just fine! Keep that edgy style on Radhika!
